Francesca Nepote and I participated in the Adobe Creative Jam competition that took place in Düsseldrf on July 2, 2016, representing team DDB.
In a challenge, with teams from other agencies, we were asked to develop, in five hours, a visual piece based on the theme: The future is now.
We chose to connect the present and the future in one element, a playing card, that, unlike the traditional one, shows two different faces and at the same time the same person. The two characters, the kid, from the present, and his future self, the astronaut, are linked in an ambigram showing the words "NOW" and "THEN". The ambigram itself becomes an analogy to the thing that connects the present to the future: dreams. Children's dreams, to be exact. The infinite symbol on the card highlights how this game of dreams coming true in the future plays itself out continuously throughout time.
We were awarded, both, the judge's and people's choice awards.
